Black Drum...big fish BUT YUK you don't eat those do you??? I love the red snapper my ex FIL used to give us, that and the quail.
Ok I just did re-search on the Drum...looks like some people do eat them if skinned properly and of a certain weight (bigger isn't always better) and its says to save the throat because its a delicacy.
I know the Drum here in Oklahoma are considered nasty, while catfish who bottom dwell as well are tasty.

My neighbors had a fish fry Wed. night and brought me a plate of catfish (I love fried catfish), and some huge frog legs.

this is saltwater drum..and they are every bit as good as redfish........Rich knows how to fillet them..and fry them or blacken them oh heck he can really cook a fish..by the way we ran out of hooks before we an out of bait LOL

I don't really like frog legs that much ...or gator tail...BTW we ate the fish tonight..yum...and I make a killer tartar sauce....

I have tried gator and I liked it, Last time I was in Gorgia they grilled rattlesnake steaks, They told me it was turtle and I liked it....then the truth came out and I got the heebie jeebies [img]mad.gif[/img]

I love Gator tail if its fried properly...had sauted frog legs one time years ago ( I think I was 10) and played with them more than ate em cause if you hit the tendon just right the little leg would kick [img]eek.gif[/img]
Never had Snake ( that I know of) but I did eat squirrel once by accident as I was told it was beef stew. [img]confused.gif[/img]
